D2 Center Better Family Health Open House, July 2018

by | Aug 20, 2018 | D2 Center Courses, Events, General

Eleven D2 Center students enrolled this summer in an elective credit class “Better Family Health” under the guidance of certified teachers Ms. Clem Bell and Ms. Dianne Kielniarz. One of the goals of the class is for students to prepare a project and presentation on a health issue of choice. Most students select topics that have directly impacted them or someone in their family. On Friday, July 13, students made presentations to family members and D2 Center staff members during an Open House and did a fantastic job! Some of the topics were the importance of exercise and diet for seniors, diabetes, PTSD, multiple sclerosis, teen pregnancy/parenting, high blood pressure, and how mental health can effect physical health.
