Congratulations to D2 Center YAN Jesi DeWitt, who was awarded a certificate of appreciation at the Promiseship quarterly meeting. Jesi was nominated by Amanda Gould, who wrote:
Jesi started working with one of my youth as her youth academic navigator through the D2 Center earlier this summer. Jesi has been a great source of help for my youth, not just in providing tutoring and assistance in educational planning, but also by being an emotional support and sounding board for my youth. It is evident to me that Jesi has developed a rapport with this youth and that my youth feels comfortable going to her with dilemmas both school and non-school related. Jesi has been my second set of eyes and ears for my youth at school. She is quick to email me with news from the school or on my youth’s progress and makes sure I am always in the loop and aware of triumphs and difficulties that my youth faces at school. Since her involvement with my youth, Jesi has played an active role on the team is able to offer invaluable insight to a part of my youth’s day that I otherwise might miss out on. Jesi has not only been very hands on and involved with this particular youth of mine, but has been a knowledgeable contact and source of information for some others of my youth with similar difficulties.
