The D2 Center’s very own Albert Varas appeared on Morning Blend with Barb Farho from the City of Omaha to talk about tutor.com, an online tutoring resource available free to anyone with an Omaha Public Library card.
This past July, the D2 Center moved from our temporary space on the third floor to our permanent space on the fifth floor of The Center at 42nd & Center St. Our new space is larger, with room for staff offices, a reception area, and a classroom that doubles as a conference room. Over the summer we began to meet with students and piloted our first elective credit course, Literacy and Life Skills. We’ve spent the last couple months settling in, training staff, and preparing to see more students. If you or someone you know is age 15-20 and has dropped out of school or is thinking of dropping out, we’d like to talk to you! Please give us a call at 402-502-8534 with any questions and to see if you qualify for our program.
