CPR Class Recap, Nov. 2013

by | Nov 18, 2013 | Career Experience Workshops, Career Navigator Program, Events, General

On November 8, 2013, seven D2 Center students participated in a CPR certification class at the D2 Center offered through Omaha AHEC (Area Health Education Center). We learned basic first aid including proper techniques to aid anyone choking and CPR for adults, children, and infants. Not only that, but students received hours towards an elective credit though the D2 Center Careers & Community Engagement Program. In fact, because of his previous C & CE work, D’an’Tre completed his credit that day! C & CE Project Coordinator Ebony and three D2 Center YANs (Cathy, Patrick and Kelsey) participated alongside their students, making this a true team effort focused on safety and relationship building.

Thanks to AHEC and our instructors Ms. Natasha and Ms. Brianna! See more photos from the event on our D2 Center Students Facebook page.

Waiting for their lives to be saved!
