Reconnecting Youth: Putting Out of School, Out of Work Youth on a Path to Self-Sufficiency

by | Mar 31, 2022 | General, News, NLC Reengagement Network

The D2 Center is included in a new set of tools produced by MDRC and Child Trends for the project “Reconnecting Youth: Putting Out of School, Out of Work Youth on a Path to Self-Sufficiency.” These tools can be accessed on youth.gov. This project was funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation.

Our program is one of 78 programs featured in the project’s compendium of programs. This interactive tool allows users to explore programs across the United States that are currently providing education and/or employment services to young people who are seeking to reconnect to school and/or advance on employment pathways.

The project also includes an evidence gap map, which systematically summarizes the available evidence about the practices used by programs to support these youth.

Both the compendium and evidence gap map are accompanied by reports that describe the key findings.

Thank you to MDRC, Child Trends, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE).
